Will work alongside the Head of Analytics (Business Intelligence) to lead the Trust’s analytics, data science and reporting functions, ensuring delivery of high‑quality, timely, and actionable intelligence to support operational performance, strategic planning, quality improvement, and clinical decision‑making.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development and maintenance of data models to support operational, clinical, financial and performance reporting across the Trust.
- Establish, implement and maintain data modelling standards, frameworks and best practice, ensuring consistency, scalability, data quality and sustainability of analytical solutions.
- Be accountable for the delivery of high‑quality analytical datasets and semantic layers that enable self‑service business intelligence, advanced analytics and data science across the organisation.
- Provide technical leadership and specialist advice on data structures, modelling techniques and analytics architecture, acting as a source of expert guidance to analysts, data scientists and senior stakeholders.
- Work in partnership with clinical, operational and corporate teams to translate business requirements into robust, fit‑for‑purpose data models that support decision‑making and service improvement.
- Ensure that data governance requirements, national information standards and NHS data definitions are embedded within all data models and reporting outputs.
- Lead, mentor and develop analytics staff, building organisational capability in data modelling and supporting improvements in data literacy across the analytics function.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in data modelling, including the adoption of modern analytical tools, platforms and methods in line with Trust and NHS strategic objectives.
