We have multiple exciting opportunities for highly motivated individuals to join our Cleanliness Services Team and be part of a front‑line team enhancing patient experience by delivering high standards of cleanliness.

This Facilities Assistant role includes working at satellite sites in the Shrewsbury area and supporting portering and catering teams as required. The position is an alternate weekend working role, with shift patterns discussed during the interview. We pay enhanced rates for weekend, bank holiday or unsociable hours (before 6 am and after 8 pm). Full training will be provided.

The role is multi‑skilled, supporting cleanliness, catering, and portering to support hospital services. Duties include:

  • Cleaning hospital areas
  • Transporting patients and equipment
  • Assisting with food service
  • Providing support in emergencies and for clinical teams

Staff will work shifts including early, late, night, and weekend hours as part of a rota, performing physical tasks such as lifting, moving equipment and walking long distances. All staff must follow Health and Safety rules, infection control procedures, and food hygiene standards, and demonstrate compassion and effective communication.
