Role: Clinical Lead Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) services

Salary/Benefits: up to £70,000 depending on the level of experience

Location: National role base negotiable. Hybrid.

For over 25 years, our specialist residential care services have provided therapeutic care and education for girls who have experienced child sexual exploitation (CSE). Our specialist CSE services aim at understanding and reducing risk factors through an evidence-based model of care that is trauma‑informed and developed to deliver therapeutic residential care, individual therapy and education packages.

We are now looking for an experienced Psychologist to join us as our Clinical Lead to further develop our clinical model and support operational colleagues to embed this in practice. The post will require someone with previous experience of working as a qualified Psychologist with children and young people in relevant settings such as CAMHS, residential care and/or trauma‑informed services.

Job Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Clinical Lead for our CSE services. This role will include providing clinical leadership and working alongside operational colleagues to support the ongoing delivery of evidence‑based practice and to contribute to the development of high‑quality services.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading on the ongoing development of the clinical model.
  • Managing and supervising other clinicians in the CSE services across the Country.
  • Supporting the delivery of both direct and indirect support to children and young people.
  • Conducting specialist assessments, report writing, delivering evidence‑based interventions and designing bespoke training packages for staff teams.
  • Supporting teams in the delivery of clinically focused meetings, consultation and reflective practice.

Candidate Profile

To be successful within this role you will need:

  • Committed to improving outcomes for young people.
  • Experience working with children and young people presenting with a range of clinical needs across relevant settings.
  • Delivering evidence‑based trauma‑informed therapeutic interventions with children and young people.
  • Delivering training.
  • Conducting specialist assessment, intervention and management of a range of presenting needs.
  • Supervising and managing other clinicians.

Essential:

  • Registered with the HCPC.
  • Experience as a qualified Psychologist with children and young people, including those presenting with risk‑taking behaviour.
  • Experience managing and supervising other clinicians.
  • Experience supporting service development.
  • Ability to conduct specialist clinical assessments and produce high‑quality reports.
  • Experience supporting staff teams through training, consultation and/or reflective practice.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
