An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within a busy and varied environment, working alongside our clinical and non‑clinical colleagues to make a positive contribution to our patients and staff experience. We are seeking to recruit an experienced, motivated, dynamic Supervisor to lead our cleanliness team at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital (RSH). Core hours will be 1-9pm, 5 shifts over 7 days with alternate weekends. The Supervisor will also be expected to cover alternate supervisory shifts as and when required.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Supervisor experience essential.
  • Cleaning Management experience essential; experience in a healthcare environment would be beneficial.
  • Passion for good cleaning standards and hygiene.
  • Experience or knowledge of infection control and health and safety procedures.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to provide support to the cleanliness team.
  • Adopting a flexible approach.
  • Good competency in IT.

About the Team

The Cleanliness Team is made up of Trust staff who are responsible for cleaning the whole hospital. Our aim is to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients, staff and visitors. We work closely with IPC and wards and departments to ensure our high standards are maintained. We are a large team covering various shift patterns and our goal is to provide the best service we can.
