Galloways Bakery are seeking an experienced First Sales person to work in our Bakery shop. At Galloways Bakers we are passionate about our quality pies, pasties, confectionery, breakfasts, filled rolls and delivering the highest standards to our customers. We are a family run business which is always evolving and looking for people to join us in our success. We have 23 shops and expanding.

We are seeking a reliable and experienced First Sales to work in one of our busy Bakery shops based in Wigan, St Helens, Chorley, Standish and Eccleston. This role will be responsible for assisting the shop manager in all aspects of shop operations, driving sales, managing inventory, and ensuring exceptional customer service and ensuring staff carry out their shop duties. This role requires strong leadership skills, a customer‑centric approach, and the ability to motivate and develop your team. Anyone applying for this position must have a full driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.

Duties

  • Assist in managing the day‑to‑day shop operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and customer service
  • Lead and motivate your team to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent customer service
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and visually appealing shop environment
  • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and escalations in a professional manner
