Class 1 Driver – Collections & Delivery at Pallet Networks, Shepton Mallet.
Shift: Monday to Friday, with a Saturday rota of one Saturday in ten, paid at £20 per hour with a guaranteed minimum of 4 hours.
Responsibilities
- Use a curtain side vehicle to make multi-drop palletised deliveries around the South West.
- Ensure goods are loaded and secured legally and safely.
- Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using a company phone.
- Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates and meet customer expectations.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay up to date with industry standards and best practices.
Qualifications
- Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
- Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Experience delivering directly to client sites is advantageous.
- Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Confident, polite, and a team player.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.
Benefits and Compensation
- Competitive salary: £16 per hour for 48 hours minimum (£768 per week).
