We're looking for a Cafe Supervisor to join our team at Kilver Court. Located in Shepton Mallet, Kilver Court offers a unique experience for visitors, combining retail, gardens and a café. Kilver Court is a vibrant destination that showcases exquisite retail offerings and beautiful gardens.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily front-of-house operations, always ensuring excellent service
- Supervise and support café team members during busy service periods
- Assist with staff training, onboarding and ongoing development
- Open and close the café involving keyholder responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation and health & safety standards
- Communicate closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service flow
- Help manage stock levels and receive deliveries
- Step in to run the café in the manager’s absence when required
About You
- Previous experience in a café, restaurant or hospitality supervisory role
- Confident, friendly, and customer-focused
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Able to remain calm and organised during busy periods
- A positive attitude and genuine passion for hospitality
- Reliable, punctual and able to take initiative
- Flexible with working hours, including weekends
Hours and Contract
This role is on a casual basis however looking in the region of 20-35 hrs a week, but we’re looking for someone flexible and willing to take on additional shifts during busy periods or to support the team when needed.
