As a Senior Technical Architect, you will lead the design of complex systems and services, providing expert guidance, shaping technical solutions, and ensuring alignment with wider government strategy. Working collaboratively across teams and stakeholders, you will develop architecture options, govern technical quality, and mentor others – playing a key role in delivering user‑focused, accessible digital services.

• Lead the design of complex systems and services across on‑prem, cloud and hybrid environments.
• Develop architecture options, govern technical quality, and translate business requirements into traceable technical solutions.
• Use architecture modelling techniques and tools to devise and represent solutions, including microservice and API‑led architecture, event‑based architecture and integration design tools, techniques and best practice.
• Work with project delivery teams within agile, waterfall and hybrid environments throughout the lifecycle, from concept to go‑live.
• Mentor and support junior architects and technical team members.
• Champion secure, scalable and maintainable architectural approaches aligned with government strategy.

• Extensive experience in architecture design across on‑prem, cloud and hybrid environments with a focus on networking, security, presentation, middleware, database and integration aspects.
• Strong understanding of architecture design principles, patterns, technical radars, practices and standards.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and deliver architecture within agile, waterfall and hybrid project environments.
• Excellent communication, influence and mentoring skills.
