We are looking for a heavyweight Senior Site Manager to take the lead on a flagship new-build apartment development in Manchester. We need a leader who possesses the commercial acumen and technical expertise to drive this project through to a successful completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Strategy: Take full ownership of the construction programme, ensuring key milestones are met and identifying potential risks before they impact the critical path.
- Sub-Contractor Management: Lead large-scale sub-contractor meetings, managing performance, variations, and high-level coordination.
- Technical Excellence: Oversee complex elements of the build ensuring compliance with building regulations and NHBC standards.
- Leadership: Mentor and manage junior Site Managers and Assistants, fostering a culture of accountability and precision.
- Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for architects, structural engineers, and local authorities.
The Ideal Candidate
- Track Record: Significant experience as a Senior Site Manager on large-scale urban residential projects (Β£20m value).
- Expertise: Deep knowledge of high-rise construction, Manchester City Council logistics, and modern methods of construction (MMC).
- Compliance: Must hold SMSTS, First Aid, and a Black CSCS Card.
