TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist provision in Chorley, supporting students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated needs. The setting provides a structured and nurturing environment, focused on building trust, independence and positive outcomes for every student.

The school is looking to take on a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant on a temp to perm basis, starting as soon as possible. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will be supporting students with ASC and PDA, both in and out of the classroom, helping to manage behaviours, reduce anxiety and support engagement in learning.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

  • Experience working with children or young people with ASC
  • Knowledge or experience supporting students with PDA
  • Previous experience in a SEND school or similar setting
  • A calm, patient and adaptable approach
  • Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
