Job Role
- Send Teacher (Full-time & Part-time) β supportive teaching roles within special schools and alternative provisions, working with pupils with additional needs, including:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
- Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Complex needs and communication difficulties
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils with a variety of additional needs in primary and secondary SEND settings, deliver tailored lesson plans, manage classroom behaviour, and foster a positive learning environment.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent
- Experience or strong interest in special educational needs teaching
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Compassionate, patient and adaptable teaching approach
- Passion for working within special education schools
