Join a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school as an experienced SEN HLTA or Unqualified Teacher. You will support pupils with Special Educational Needs across the school, delivering tailored interventions and leading pre-planned lessons. You may also cover classes where needed, ensuring all pupils remain engaged and supported in their learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured lessons and interventions to pupils with SEN
- Provide whole‑class or small‑group cover when required
- Support pupils with a range of additional needs (ASD, ADHD, SEMH)
- Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
- Work closely with the SENCO and class teachers
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- HLTA status or relevant experience as an unqualified teacher
- Strong experience working with SEN in a primary school setting
- Confidence managing behaviour and leading a class independently
- A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
