This post represents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a team of staff in Keele University’s Estates and Campus Services Directorate.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out testing of Emergency Lighting systems: monthly short functional (Flick Testing) and annual testing as set out in BS5266 Part 1.
  • Perform functional 6‑monthly testing of RCD and RCBO devices to satisfy BS7671‑2018.
  • Assist the Mechanical and Electrical Team in maintenance, repair and modification of all aspects of work, while providing the highest level of customer service across the University’s estate.

Qualifications

  • Minimum grade C in GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
  • Appropriate experience with testing Emergency Lighting systems and fault reporting.
  • Strong organisation, planning, communication, customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well within a team.
