In this rewarding position, you will:

  • Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
  • Help pupils develop emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
  • Support engagement with classroom learning and daily routines
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support team to deliver tailored support plans
  • Encourage confidence, resilience, and positive social interactions
  • Help create and maintain a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience supporting children with SEMH or behavioural needs
  • Has worked as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school (desirable)
  • Brings a calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Builds strong, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Communicates effectively and works well within a team
  • Has experience with Read Write Inc. (RWI) or phonics (advantageous but not essential)
  • Is a dedicated consultant who understands their experience and career goals
