Teacher Active is proud to be working with a welcoming mainstream Secondary school in Brecon, offering a supportive and inclusive learning environment across all key stages. The school promotes a positive ethos, encouraging both staff and pupils to thrive within a well-structured and nurturing setting.

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a full-time and part-time flexible basis, starting ASAP. The successful Teaching Assistant will be required to support pupils across all key stages, with the opportunity to provide 1:1 support where needed, assisting with classroom activities and helping to manage behaviour effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
  • Providing one-to-one or small group support to pupils
  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
  • Assisting with classroom preparation, resources, and activities
  • Encouraging pupil participation and promoting positive behaviour

Qualifications

  • Minimum six months experience working with children (voluntary, school-based, or from transferable roles such as youth work, care, coaching, etc.)
  • A passion for supporting children’s learning and development
  • Caring, reliable, and ready to make a difference in the classroom
