We are working with a well established and highly successful manufacturing company who are looking to recruit a Saw Operator / Machine Operator to join their production team.
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager and working as part of a small team.
- Temporary ongoing position working a rotating shift pattern (6am to 2pm & 2pm to 10pm, Mon to Fri).
- Location: Patchway / Cribbs Causeway, Bristol.
- Salary: £31,000 per annum (including shift allowance).
- Pay for double day shift pattern - 6am to 2pm (Mon to Fri) & 2pm to 10pm (Mon to Fri).
- Benefits include 28 days holiday, Pension, Onsite parking, social events.
The successful candidate will have previously worked in a similar role operating a Bar Saw, Band Saw, Chop Saw or similar, and experience working with metal, plastic or wood would be ideal.
Duties of the Saw Operator / Machine Operator will include
- Following drawings and work orders to cut materials to size and correct thickness.
- Checking materials and carrying out quality checks.
- Inspecting first off using tape and micrometers.
- Stamping and labelling finished goods.
- Using overhead cranes.

- Working from drawings and following work instructions.

Requirements
- Previous machine operating experience.
- Ideally experience with metal parts and materials.
- Good IT skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast paced, busy environment.
