This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic nursing team in Gynaecology Outpatients as a Urogynaecology Specialist Nurse. You’ll play a key role within our dedicated urogynaecology service while working closely with the wider gynaecology nursing team. The successful candidate will be welcomed into a supportive environment, with guidance from our experienced medical, nursing and multidisciplinary colleagues. As a Urogynaecology Specialist Nurse, you’ll play a key role in delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care for women with pelvic floor and bladder conditions. You’ll work both autonomously and as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team to provide expert assessment, treatment and ongoing management. Your main duties will include:

  • Running nurse‑led clinics such as pessary management, bladder retraining, catheter care, self‑catheterisation and pelvic floor education
  • Providing specialist assessment and advice, supporting women to understand their condition and make informed choices about their care
  • Supporting diagnostic and treatment pathways, and developing own skills to undertake urodynamics, botulinum toxin, conservative management and post‑operative follow‑up
  • Managing your own caseload, ensuring safe, effective and timely care
  • Working closely with consultants, physiotherapists and wider MDT colleagues to deliver seamless, evidence‑based care
  • Contributing to service development, quality improvement and audit to help shape a modern, responsive urogynaecology service
  • Offering education and support to patients, families and colleagues, helping to raise awareness of pelvic health across the organisation
