We have an exciting opportunity to join the Therapy Department at Salford Royal Hospital on a part‑time fixed‑term (5 months) contract covering maternity leave.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist Physiotherapists and occupational therapists in the assessment, planning and delivery of treatment programmes for patients with multiple needs.
- Carry out day‑to‑day administration tasks: general administration, stock taking, cleaning equipment and preparation of therapy classes.
- Support the multidisciplinary team in maintaining the smooth running of the service.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths; an NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a healthcare related topic is advantageous.
- Good understanding of the role of a Therapy Assistant.
- Excellent communication skills, initiative and problem‑solving ability.
- Strong time‑management skills and experience of working within a team (healthcare experience desirable but transferable skills considered).
