Cover People are currently recruiting qualified Secondary Teachers to support schools across the area with day-to-day and short-term cover requirements.
This is a great opportunity for experienced teachers who want greater control over their working week, as well as ECTs looking to gain experience in different secondary settings.
You can choose from a variety of assignments while benefiting from the support of a dedicated education recruitment consultant.
Our partner schools are looking for teachers who can quickly settle into a new classroom, deliver effective lessons and maintain a positive learning environment.
Placements are available across a broad range of subjects and can vary from single days through to longer-term cover.
We are particularly interested in hearing from teachers with experience in:
- Maths
- Science
- Biology, Chemistry & Physics
- History, Geography & RE
- PE
- Design & Technology
- Computing & ICT
- Business Studies
- Teaching pupils across KS3 and KS4, with occasional KS5 opportunities
- Delivering lessons in line with the school's expectations and existing curriculum
- Establishing positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Managing behaviour confidently and consistently
- Adapting to different classrooms, schools and student needs
- Encouraging pupils to remain engaged and focused on their learning
- Leaving appropriate feedback or handover information for permanent staff
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have strong knowledge of their specialist subject
- Can confidently manage a secondary classroom
- Are reliable, professional and adaptable
- Communicate effectively with pupils and colleagues
- Are committed to safeguarding and promoting positive outcomes for young people
- Are either an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to develop their experience - £140-£190 per day DOE
