Eligibility:
- Newly Qualified Registered Nurses who have completed placements within the Northern Care Alliance, received their NMC PIN within the last 18 months, and have not secured their first registered nursing position.
- Current employees of the Northern Care Alliance with a substantive contract who received their NMC PIN within the last 18 months and have not secured their first registered adult nursing position.
- International nurses who have not yet completed all competencies required for a full NMC PIN to practise in the UK are not accepted.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a designated group of patients in line with established care pathways.
- Be a named care provider and work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure the highest standards of care.
- Act in accordance with the NMC Professional Code of Conduct, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Support and supervise junior staff, students, and unregistered colleagues.
- Play an active role in the education and assessment of learners, providing mentorship and supervision where required.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multi-disciplinary team.
