Job Summary

We have exciting opportunities for a Band 5 nurse to join our friendly and supportive acute medical and nursing team on ward L7 who are committed to providing and maintaining high standards of patient care. The ward specialises in Acute Medicine, and diabetes and endocrine, you will be exposed to a large variety of clinical conditions.

Responsibilities

You will be looking after patients with a variety of acute medial problems.

You will also be committed to delivering a high standard of patient care and have interest in the acute nursing care. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team is essential. A flexible approach and the ability to respond appropriately to the demands of a rapidly changing acute clinical environment are also essential.

Qualifications and Experience

Posts are offered on a full time basis. This post requires flexible working patterns to meet the needs of the service to include bank holidays and weekends as required. This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as a Registered Nurse in the UK.

Please note an NMC PRN PIN is not a full NMC PIN and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role.

The NCA can no longer accept applications from International Nurses who are yet to complete all competencies needed to receive a full NMC PIN to practice in the UK as we have paused our OSCE programme indefinitely.

Training and Development

We can offer you variety of training and development opportunities. We have a dedicated Practice development nurse and a supervisory Ward Manager. You will receive a supernumerary period to enable you to gain the skills and competency required to care for acutely ill patients.

Working Hours

Posts are offered on a full time basis. This post requires flexible working patterns to meet the needs of the service to include bank holidays and weekends as required.
