Qualifications

  • Minimum five years post‑qualification and relevant experience in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
  • Possession of MFDS, RCS or FDS, RCS – full registration with the General Dental Council.
  • No on‑call commitment.
  • Sub‑specialty interest in dentoalveolar surgery.
  • Previous experience or training in the use of conscious sedation techniques for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Responsibilities

  • Outpatient care of patients at the Salford Royal Hospital site.
  • Consultation clinics and operating on patients under local anaesthesia and sedation.
  • Provide advice and assistance to members of junior dental staff in training as needed.
  • Continue training and development while in post; opportunities for evolving clinical responsibilities.
