We have a vacancy for a Band 2, full time, Renal Receptionist to work at Salford Royal Hospital. You will have responsibility for directly receiving patients, checking all patient demographic details are complete and updated on Patient Centre. You will admit patients to the Dialysis Unit and Renal Procedure Centre and provide an effective appointment booking service when the patient is entering and leaving the clinic area.

Responsibilities include:

  • Directly receiving patients and ensuring all patient demographic details are complete and updated on Patient Centre.
  • Admitting patients to the Dialysis Unit and Renal Procedure Centre.
  • Providing an efficient appointment booking service when the patient is entering and leaving the clinic area.
  • Managing clerical processes associated with non-attendance to out-patient clinics.
  • Dealing with telephone enquiries from secretaries, wards and other departments.
  • Booking patient follow-up appointments within agreed timescales while ensuring that bookings are made within the strict parameters of the clinical schedules.
