Our GCSE Tutors play a key role in supporting students who require additional help to improve their understanding of core subjects and prepare for their exams. Working on a one-to-one or small group basis, you will support learners in building confidence in both Maths and English while strengthening their subject knowledge and exam technique. We understand that every learner has a unique learning journey. That’s why we encourage a flexible and supportive approach to tutoring, helping students progress at their own pace while creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver one-to-one or small group GCSE Maths and English lessons.
- Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs and abilities.
- Support students in developing subject knowledge, exam techniques, and study skills.
- Build positive relationships with students to encourage engagement and confidence.
- Monitor progress and provide clear feedback to parents, carers, or relevant professionals where required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring both Maths and English.
- Confident delivering GCSE-level Maths and English.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage students with different learning needs.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Must have, or be willing to undertake, an Enhanced DBS check.
- PGCE in Secondary Education and/or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience supporting students working below expected levels.
- Experience working in alternative provision, tutoring, or intervention programmes.
