We are now looking for an experienced Fit-Out Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. This is a key commercial role for someone who thrives on both detailed estimating and full commercial control across live projects.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing the commercial and financial aspects of fit-out projects from initial enquiry through to final account. Working closely with project managers, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and external QS teams, you will help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and competitive estimates and tender submissions for retail and commercial fit-out projects
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Manage project budgets and monitor costs throughout delivery
- Produce cost reports, forecasts, and commercial updates
- Prepare and submit variation quotations with full supporting documentation
- Manage valuations, change control, and final accounts
- Support procurement and negotiate best value with suppliers and subcontractors
- Work closely with project managers, design teams and client-appointed quantity surveyors
- Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation
- Build and maintain strong client and supplier relationships
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in estimating, quantity surveying, or a similar commercial role within fit-out or construction
- Strong understanding of interior fit-out processes and delivery
- Experience producing tenders, cost plans, valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel and estimating software skills
- Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
