JA are recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation for an experienced CCTV Drainage Operative to support a newly formed three person CCTV team delivering drainage surveys across the North West. This is a hands on, customer facing field role working on public sewer and domestic drainage networks.

Location: North West (Field based – Irlam)

CCTV Drainage Operative Role

  • You will support drainage investigations using specialist CCTV survey equipment.
  • Carry out inspections of sewer and drainage networks, identifying defects and recording accurate survey data.
  • Work as part of a newly established CCTV team, contributing to high quality survey delivery.
  • The role is predominantly site based, involving outdoor work in all weather conditions.
  • You will interact directly with clients and represent the business professionally on site.

CCTV Drainage Operative Responsibilities

  • Undertake CCTV drainage surveys on public sewer and domestic drainage systems.
  • Operate specialist CCTV equipment to inspect pipelines and underground assets.
  • Identify structural and service defects and capture accurate survey outputs.
  • Complete plan annotations, survey logs, paperwork and digital records to a high standard.
  • Carry out manual handling tasks safely and effectively.
  • Work in confined spaces and highway environments in line with safe systems of work.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, colleagues and supervisors.
  • Support the ongoing development and effectiveness of the new CCTV team.

CCTV Drainage Operative Requirements

Essential

  • Proven CCTV drainage investigation experience (or a closely related role).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Reliable, flexible and well organised approach to work.

Desirable

  • Confined Spaces certification.
  • NRSWA Signing, Lighting and Guarding.
  • OS19X accreditation.
  • Previous experience within utilities, drainage, outdoor or manual labour roles.

Work Pattern & Location

Field based role covering the North West, with opportunities available in Irlam. Flexibility required, including early starts, late finishes, overtime and occasional Saturday working.
