As an Assistant Cook you will work with a tight knit team to ensure that high standard food is served. You will support the Cook Supervisor and cover for their absence. Your responsibilities include maintaining a high standard of food presentation and delivering excellent customer care.
Responsibilities
- Provide a quality catering service during term time
- Cover for the Cook Supervisor’s absence
- Ensure food presentation meets high standards

- Support the kitchen team in all food preparation tasks
Qualifications & Experience
- Supervisory experience within a commercial environment essential
- NVQ Level 2 in Catering or City & Guilds 706/2 in Catering desirable
- Current Basic Hygiene certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- High standard of food presentation and customer care skills
Additional Information
This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS check cost is £49, which will be deducted at £12.38 per month from your first four months’ salary. If you do not commence employment after the DBS check has been processed, you will be invoiced for the £49 fee.
