We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist who wants to continue to develop their skills working in Stroke Rehabilitation. With a commitment to multi‐disciplinary working to achieve the best possible care for our stroke patients, you'll join a dedicated integrated therapy team alongside physiotherapists, speech & language therapists, and Rehabilitation Assistants delivering care on an inpatient stroke unit.

You will benefit from working in a multi‐professional team that specialises in the field of stroke rehabilitation with a commitment to ensuring that our care supports patients to meet their goals. Our dynamic team provides plenty of opportunities for learning and development, and you will also benefit from working alongside an AHP Consultant.

Importantly, with a recognised degree in occupational therapy or equivalent and registration with the Health & Care Professionals Council, you'll monitor and review occupational therapy care plans against outcome measures and adjust plans to facilitate achievement of goals. With strong organisational, planning, and prioritisation skills, you'll maintain accurate and comprehensive records of assessment and treatment in line with British Association of Occupational Therapy national standards and local policy.

You'll effectively examine and assess stroke patients, identifying their problems and needs while ensuring that medical, psychological, social, environmental, and cultural factors are taken into account. With a flexible attitude and the ability to adapt, you'll maintain a calm and professional approach to all duties, including participating in a weekend and bank holiday rota.

As a naturally empathetic individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you'll build rapport and demonstrate compassion towards patients and carers, providing effective advice to individuals during difficult circumstances. As a problem solver with well‐developed concentration and analytical skills, you'll utilise examination and assessment findings to competently plan and carry out realistic programmes of treatment from a range of therapeutic options appropriate to each patient, using evidence‐based practice in stroke.
