Our client is a highly-regarded defendant firm with offices nationwide. They are currently recruiting a defendant personal/catastrophic injury associate. Applicants must be 2-5 years PQE with previous multi-track defendant personal injury experience. You can expect a competitive salary and hybrid working structure.

This Defendant Personal/Catastrophic Injury Associate role will see you:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of complex liability and injury claims, including catastrophic injury matters.
  • Handle both pre-litigation and litigated files, up to a high multi-track level.
  • Advise on employers' liability (EL), public liability (PL), motor, product liability, and defective premises/property claims.
  • Liaise with a range of clients, including insurers, public sector clients, local authorities, restaurants, retails and clients in the leisure industry.
  • Conduct thorough investigations and provide strategic advice to clients.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills in assessing liability and quantum.
  • Maintain and develop client relationships through clear communication and exceptional service delivery.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across national and international offices on cross-border quantum investigations.
  • Apply knowledge of policy coverage where required.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • UK Qualified Solicitor (2-5 years PQE) or CILEX qualified with relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of policy coverage is desirable.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes.
