We are looking to appoint a salaried GP to join our team at Westminster Surgery. The position requires 2 sessions per week, covering either a Tuesday or Thursday for a period of 12 months.
Key Responsibilities and Benefits
- Receive 4 hours of CPD time per week (pro rata) for professional development, audits, service transformation and more.
- Opportunity to take on lead roles within the surgery, such as PCN lead, safeguarding lead, prescribing lead, and sepsis lead.
- Clinical supervision will be provided by Clinical Director Dr Rajan Rajesh and peer supervision with medical colleagues from CWP’s two other GP surgeries is available and encouraged.
- Work within a multidisciplinary team comprised of an advanced clinical practitioner, practice nurse, HCA, clinical pharmacist, mental health worker, and a supportive admin team.
- Collaborate closely with the community care team and participate in regular MDT meetings, safeguarding and medicines‑management activities, and children’s and families’ initiatives.
- Commence on a fixed start date in the month of appointment, following up to 3 weeks of training through the Prepare to Care (P2C) induction programme.
- Apply the Guaranteed Interview Scheme for armed forces community applicants, reservists, or cadet force adult volunteers.
Requirements
- Registered GP (salaried) with the capacity to deliver general medical care.
- Demonstrated ability to participate in a multidisciplinary team and take on leadership responsibilities.
- Willingness to undertake a DBS check (applicant‑paid; costs deducted from salary after appointment). An annual DBS Update Service fee of £16 per year may apply.
