About the Role

Senior Health Care Assistants work closely with the Nurse in Charge to lead a Care Team and support every aspect of residents’ day‑to‑day lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support people with their personal care.
  • Assist people at meal times.
  • Understand individual health and wellbeing needs.
  • Encourage and support people to take part in social activities, both in and out of the home.
  • Promote choice, dignity, independence and respect.
  • Lead, motivate and support a team of care colleagues.
  • Ensure care documentation is completed to a high standard.

We maintain higher-than-average staffing levels; up to six colleagues on each unit support around ten people, giving you more time to spend with the people you support.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience as a Health Care Assistant.
  • Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care.
  • Mathematics and English at GCSE Grade C or above (or relevant functional skills qualification).
