Pay rate: £13.23. Various shifts (to be discussed at interview). Mitie is looking for a Relief Logistics security officer who can deliver exceptional customer service while creating a safe environment, free from the fear of crime for visitors and colleagues. It is preferable that you hold a current SIA licence or SIA certificates (but in some circumstances training for a licence can be provided). Vetting: It is vital that you have a full 5‑year checkable employment/education history; failure to do so could mean your offer will be withdrawn or your employment stopped.
Responsibilities
- Deliver industry leading customer service
- Conduct patrols of the depot
- Provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors, and visitors
- Utilise CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss
- Liaise with the depot management teams
- Deter theft, whether internal and/or external, and other poor working practices
- Conduct searches (to be discussed at interview)
- Respond to any on‑site incident or request for assistance and assume control until arrival of the Client, Emergency Services or Depot Duty Manager
- Highlight all breaches of security procedures including internal and external crime
- Support with access and egress to and from the site as required by the systems installed
- Gatehouse duties, which will include booking vehicles and supporting the transport operation (to be discussed at interview)
- Have a reasonable level of PC skills
