Rotational Ward Clerk Band 2 – 37.5 hours per week. The role provides essential cover for administrative positions supporting inpatient services across Tameside Hospital, including patient wards, Same Day Emergency Care and Early Pregnancy patient receptions, and general and specialist administration. The post holder will act as the first point of contact for patients, relatives and staff on wards, providing a comprehensive ward reception and administration service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as first point of contact for patients, relatives, and staff on wards.
- Accurately update and maintain patient records in Lorenzo EPR.
- Support communication and engagement with patients and relatives.
- Provide timely and accurate documentation for admissions.
- Work flexibly across variable shift patterns (7:00am–9:00pm) including bank holidays.

- Excellent interpersonal and customer‑care skills.
- Strong organisational and communication abilities.
- Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and adapt to changing workloads.
