An exciting opportunity has arisen for motivated pharmacists who want to be at the cutting edge of Pharmacy services to join our well supported Rotational Clinical Pharmacist Team.
You will undertake a varied rotational training programme working as a member of our Clinical Pharmacy Team providing ward-based pharmacy support across the Trust in various clinical specialities and operational services which will provide you with a solid foundation for your future career. As part of the department’s commitment to supporting CPD activities, a comprehensive induction and local training programme is provided. Undertaking a well-regarded Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy is also encouraged. Current trainee pharmacists are welcome to apply; previous hospital experience is not essential as extensive training is available.
Our Rotational Clinical Pharmacists provide a high quality, patient-centred service ensuring the safe, effective, legal and accurate use of medicines across the trust. You will be self-motivated and organised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be able to work effectively alone and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Providing a safe and efficient clinical pharmacy service to hospital wards and departments in accordance with departmental policies and contributing to the development of pharmacy services as required.
- Providing education and training support for nursing staff and patients and providing pharmaceutical advice to clinicians.
- Delivering a comprehensive on-call service, to identify and meet the pharmaceutical care needs of patients, 24 hours a day, including bank holidays and weekends.
