We’re advertising the opportunity for a Band 5 Children’s Speech and Language Therapist to join our well‑established and friendly team. You will develop leadership skills by providing management supervision to other team members and educate and enrich student learning experiences as a clinical educator. Evidence‑based practice is embedded and CPD is actively encouraged. We work across education settings, clinics and children’s centres with parents, carers, education staff and other professionals.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist triage, assessment, differential diagnosis, treatment and discharge recommendations to a range of children and young people with a range of communication needs.
- Provide specialist assessment for children and young people with a range of needs.
- Assess, treat and review children in face‑to‑face appointments.
- Communicate effectively with children, families, other team members and health and education staff.
- Organise and prioritise duties efficiently.
- Work in clinics, education settings, children’s centres and family homes.
- Drive continuous improvement with innovation and a passion for developing new ways of working.
- Deliver training to the wider children’s workforce about a range of communication difficulties, including developing, evaluating and adapting training packages.
