Sense is expanding its team and looking for a Relief Support Worker to join our Children’s Community Service in the Get Out There Group (GOT Group) based in Wythenshawe, Manchester covering the M22 and M23 area. This relief role will support individuals across various locations throughout the school holidays, helping children and young people who still live at home with their families. We work to promote communication skills, life skills, mobility, and access to the community.
Your daily activities will include assisting participation in events such as bowling, cinema visits, parks, personal care, and promoting independence both at home and in the community. You will also provide short periods of respite for families and carers.
Responsibilities- Assist with everyday tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care.
- Support participation in fun activities like football, dance, bowling, messy play, and water play.
- Carry out community trips for shopping or other outings.
- Promote and facilitate communication skills and mobility.
- Provide support tailored to each individual’s unique needs and preferences.
- Travel to and from community areas to deliver support where needed.
- Positive, can-do attitude.
- Caring and empathetic towards others.

- Willing to attend training as required.
- Knowledge of multi-sensory impairments or learning difficulties (desirable).
