Your new company: This is a unique opportunity to join an organisation operating at the forefront of corporate governance, audit, and financial reporting. You’ll be part of a specialist team responsible for investigating and progressing complex disciplinary matters, which has a direct impact on maintaining professional standards and safeguarding the wider public interest.
Your new role: You will join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team working on investigations, many of which are complex and involve coordination with major regulatory bodies.
Key responsibilities:- Working within case teams alongside forensic accountants, lawyers and legal assistants
- Taking ownership of discrete areas within investigations and progressing matters through to resolution
- Supporting on case strategy and helping drive investigations forward
- Reviewing complex financial, audit and actuarial material in collaboration with forensic specialists
- Analysing and preparing evidence for use in enforcement proceedings
- Assisting with the instruction and management of external counsel, experts and other third parties
- Supporting preparation for tribunal hearings, including attendance where required
- Conducting legal and policy research and advising on developments impacting enforcement activity
- Drafting legal documents, managing disclosure processes and preparing case materials
- Monitoring budgets and contributing to effective case management
- Supporting and mentoring more junior team members
- Be a qualified solicitor or barrister in England & Wales with at least 2 years’ PQE
- Have experience in regulatory law and/or commercial litigation
- Demonstrate strong legal and analytical skills
- Have excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Show sound judgement and a proactive, self‑driven approach
- Be highly organised with strong case and project management skills
- Be comfortable working under pressure and to deadlines
- Have a genuine interest in public interest and regulatory work
- Be a strong team player with the ability to collaborate across disciplines
