Shift: Monday to Friday | 3:00pm - 11:30pm

Due to continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their Quality team with the appointment of a Quality Assurance Specialist.

The Role

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining food safety, quality and compliance standards across a busy manufacturing operation. Working closely with Technical, Production and Operational teams, you will ensure quality systems are adhered to, support investigations, conduct audits and help drive continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal audits covering GMP, hygiene, traceability, product quality, documentation and manufacturing processes, ensuring corrective actions are completed effectively.
  • Investigate quality, food safety and compliance issues, including customer complaints, non-conforming products and process deviations.
  • Support the management and verification of quality control equipment and systems used within production.
  • Manage non-conformance, concession and quarantine processes, ensuring issues are resolved within agreed timescales.
  • Support validation activities, internal audits, traceability exercises and continuous improvement projects.
  • Provide guidance and support to operational teams to promote high standards of food safety, quality and compliance.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience within a food manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Technical or Production environment.
  • Food Safety qualification (Level 2 or above).
  • Internal auditing experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

Desirable

  • Experience within a high-care or regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Qualification in Food Science, Food Safety, Food Quality or a related discipline.
  • HACCP qualification (Foundation Level or above).
  • Formal Internal Auditor training.
