WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
To become a Construction Technician in our Construction department, we need someone who is enthusiastic, organised and experienced. The successful candidate will have the chance to acquire new skills and develop their abilities in a wide range of activities. We have a variety of students from the surrounding area; we are a welcoming and inclusive community that champions diversity and equality across our college. Our departments collaborate to establish and uphold the inclusive HoW culture, we keep this in mind as we manage interactions with the public, fellow employees, and nearby schools. Although this position is centred on our Redditch campus, all applicants must be prepared to travel to our other campuses or surrounding areas as required. Please note this is a temporary position that is due to end June 2026.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

- Support daily operations in construction/building services workshops.
- Clean and carry out routine equipment maintenance.
- Maintain safety equipment and follow safety procedures.
- Assist teaching staff with teaching aids and demonstrations.
- Supervise and support learner training.
- Set up and pack away workshop equipment.
- Order materials and manage stock levels.
- Complete Health & Safety tasks (risk assessments, COSHH).
- Support open days and events.
