We are looking for a Quality Control Manager to join a long‑standing manufacturer in Stourbridge (West Midlands). Typical working hours will range between a 6am‑7am start and a 4pm‑4:30pm finish (44 hours per week) with the required flexibility. Annual salary up to £50,000 per annum (DOE).
You will manage a team of up to 8, reporting directly into the Manufacturing & Managing Directors and working alongside the Quality Assurance Manager & QHSE Manager.
What You Will Do:- Lead the company’s efforts to maintain consistent product quality and implement robust process controls.
- Analyse performance data to identify opportunities for improvement, driving a culture of quality excellence.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of a formal quality management system and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Mentor and develop talent across the organisation, fostering a culture of ownership and accountability for quality.
- Manage customer complaints, non‑conformances, and returns, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.
- Conduct audits, develop inspection procedures, and promote continuous improvement initiatives to optimise manufacturing processes.
- Minimum of 3 years experience within a similar role.
- Previous experience within the Foundry, Castings or Ductile Iron industry.
- Experience managing quality systems and implementing process controls to maintain quality standards.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence change at all levels of the organisation.
Location: The position will predominantly be based in Stourbridge, across two manufacturing plants in the West Midlands, offering easy access to a thriving industrial hub.
