About the Role:
Desian Education is recruiting an enthusiastic and fully qualified Early Years Teaching Assistant for a wonderful partner primary school in Knowsley. This is a full-time, long-term position starting right after the half-term break. You will work as part of a dynamic team to support the learning, development, and care of children in their crucial early years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Act as a key person for a designated group of children.
- Observe, assess, and record children’s progress and development.
- Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
- Support children with daily routines, including personal care and lunchtimes.
- Maintain strong, positive relationships with parents and carers.
Requirements:
- Qualification: Must hold a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification that legally contributes to staff-to-child ratios.
- Experience: Proven experience working in a nursery or an Early Years setting within a primary school.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding policies.
- Approach: Warm, nurturing, creative, and highly energetic.
- Vetting: You must hold an enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or be ready to apply for a new one through Desian Education.
