About the role

As a Waking Night Support Worker at Northmead House in Puriton, you'll provide calm, person‑centred overnight support to adults aged 18‑70 staying with us for short breaks, supporting individuals with a range of needs, including full personal care, wheelchair use and hoisting, to ensure everyone feels safe, comfortable and well supported throughout the night.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out regular "keeping safe checks" to ensure everyone feels secure and comfortable.
  • Maintain a clean, hygienic space so that the environment is welcoming and safe.
  • Record important information using our easy‑to‑use IT systems - from support plans to health and safety logs.
  • Create a therapeutic, reassuring atmosphere that promotes wellbeing throughout the night.
  • Support people to enjoy their late evenings or nights in ways that matter to them.
  • Provide personal care when needed, always with dignity and respect.
