About the role
As a Support Worker at Northmead House in Puriton, Bridgwater, you'll help people enjoy positive, funâfilled short breaks in a welcoming and supportive environment. Northmead House is a shortâbreak service, supporting around 30 people overall. The people we support are male and female, aged between 18 and 70, with a wide mix of needs. This is a varied, handsâon role where no two days are the same. You'll provide full support with daily living, including personal care, and work safely and confidently with those who use wheelchairs and hoists, and support with dayâtoâday household chores. Itâs just as important to support people to live life to the fullest. That might mean heading out on bus rides, getting creative with arts and crafts, enjoying exciting day trips to the zoo or carnival, or trips to the cinema and bowling.
Shifts include a mixture of earlies (7am â 2pm), lates (2pm â 10pm), long days and alternate weekends, plus at least one sleepâin per week, ensuring people feel safe and supported at all times.
Drivers licence: A full UK manual drivers licence is required.
