About the School: Progress School is an outstanding, highly specialist school supporting a small cohort of 14 pupils aged 7-19 with autism and additional complex needs. At the heart of our provision is a truly bespoke approach, ensuring that every child and their family receive individualised, compassionate support tailored to their unique strengths and needs. We are now seeking a dedicated and passionate SENCo & Teacher to join and complement our team, helping us continue to deliver outstanding outcomes for our pupils.
About the role:
- Undertake the role of Special Educational Needs Co‑ordinator (SENCo) for all statutory purposes, including the organisation and completion of Annual Reviews.
- Be accountable, alongside our teaching team, for the education of students with SEN, considering individual needs, available resources, and updating timetables and provision maps throughout the academic year in line with the successful candidate's experience and specialisations.
- Work collaboratively with academic and therapeutic teams to ensure all assessments and documentation are accurate, up to date, and completed within required timescales.
- Analyse and track student progress using appropriate assessments, data, and records to inform planning and provision.
- Act as the Designated Teacher for CLA, attending PEP meetings and CLA reviews, and maintaining accurate records and data to support these meetings.
