Personal assistant required in the Tarleton area. Do you have some spare time each week to make a difference in a young person's life? Are you a caring, patient and motivated individual with a passion for supporting others and a sense of fun? If so, we would like to hear from you.

We are looking for someone to support a young man and act as a friend and mentor. Ideally, you should have experience or knowledge of Autism and anxiety. Your duties will include:

  • Providing companionship and support to build confidence
  • Promoting independence and access to the community for social/leisure activities

He is very creative, always with a project on the go; therefore, sharing his interests in woodwork, photography and baking would be advantageous. No personal care is involved, just reassurance and a calm, positive attitude as he can be anxious when leaving the house.

You must have excellent communication skills, be trustworthy and reliable. A driver with a full clean licence is required. Must be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check.

This is a part-time position for 6 hours per week initially (support is required for two afternoons - weekdays) with an hourly rate of £12.71 plus 5.6 weeks paid annual leave and workplace pension scheme.
