Pinnacle Group are looking for a Power BI Developer to join our Pinnacle Service Families contract. Reporting to the Senior Performance Manager, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining Power BI reports, dashboards and data models that support performance management, contract reporting and operational decision-making.

Working with complex and varied datasets from multiple operational systems, you will transform data into clear, reliable and user-friendly solutions that enable stakeholders at all levels to better understand performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Alongside Power BI development, you will play a key role in enhancing the wider Microsoft Power Platform environment, identifying opportunities to automate data feeds, improve data capture, streamline manual processes and develop practical business solutions using Power Automate, Power Apps and SharePoint.

Working closely with operational, commercial and technical teams, you will translate business requirements into scalable digital solutions that improve efficiency, strengthen data quality and support better outcomes across the contract.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Power BI Developer with strong skills in Power BI, DAX, Power Query and data modelling, combined with experience using Power Automate, Power Apps and SharePoint to improve processes and automate manual tasks. They will be comfortable working with complex datasets from multiple sources, turning data into meaningful insights that support business decisions. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, a solutions-focused mindset and a passion for continuous improvement are essential. A portfolio showcasing Power BI dashboards, automation workflows or business improvement projects would be highly advantageous.

This is a remote role; we welcome applications from candidates based anywhere in the UK.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design, develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports and scorecards that provide meaningful operational, customer, compliance and contract performance insights.
  • Build and enhance Power BI data models, measures and calculations using DAX, Power Query and best-practice data modelling techniques.
  • Transform complex, incomplete and inconsistent datasets from multiple data sources into accurate, reliable and user-friendly reporting solutions.
  • Gather and translate business requirements into clear reporting and insight solutions that meet stakeholder needs.
  • Create reporting outputs that support operational management, KPI monitoring, trend analysis, exception reporting and senior leadership decision-making.
  • Use Power Automate to streamline data feeds, reporting processes, notifications, approvals and other manual activities.
  • Support the development of Power Apps and SharePoint solutions that improve data capture, process control and operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with operational, commercial and technical stakeholders to improve data quality, reporting standards and performance management processes.
  • Produce clear reports, presentations and recommendations that support continuous improvement and informed business decision-making.
  • Ensure reporting solutions are well-governed, validated and clearly documented, while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and the wider Microsoft Power Platform.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards, including DAX, Power Query, data modelling and report design.
  • Experience working with complex, messy or incomplete datasets, transforming data into accurate, meaningful and actionable reporting outputs.
  • Good understanding of the Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Automate, Power Apps and SharePoint, with experience automating processes and improving data capture.
  • Experience building reporting solutions, improving data quality and translating business problems into practical digital solutions, with an interest in leveraging AI and emerging technologies to improve efficiency.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and work effectively with operational, commercial and technical teams.

Desirable:

  • Experience with Dataverse, APIs, data warehouse environments or structured UAT/testing of reporting outputs.
  • A portfolio showcasing Power BI dashboards, Power Platform solutions, automation workflows or business improvement projects would be highly advantageous.
