Location: Porthcawl Hours of Work: 2 hours per day Start Time: 5:00 pm (flexible if you prefer to start later) Days: 5 days per week, Monday to Friday Working Pattern: Term time only Pay Rate: Β£13.45 per hour Start Date: ASAP Contract: Temporary, ongoing Manpower UK is recruiting on behalf of our client for a reliable Cleaner to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

This is an ongoing, term-time-only position, ideal for someone who takes pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out cleaning duties across the school premises to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Clean designated areas in line with site requirements and agreed schedules.
  • Use cleaning products and equipment safely and correctly, following instructions and COSHH guidance.
  • Ensure waste is disposed of appropriately and bins are kept tidy.
  • Maintain attention to detail, particularly in high-touch areas.
  • Report any cleaning issues, faults, or maintenance concerns to the appropriate person.
  • Work effectively as part of the wider school team to support a safe environment for pupils and staff.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Enhanced DBS check is required (Manpower covers the cost of the check unless you are on the DBS Update Service.
  • Experience in cleaning environments where hygiene and attention to detail are essential, such as schools, care settings, healthcare environments, or similar.
  • Good understanding of safe working practices, including the correct use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks to a high standard with minimal supervision.
  • Respect for safeguarding procedures and discretion when working in an educational environment.
