Full-Time Welsh‑Speaking Teaching Assistant (Porth)
Location: Rhondda Cynon Taf, South Wales
Pay: £93.00 per day
Are you a fluent Welsh speaker with a passion for supporting young learners? We're looking for a dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistant to work in a Welsh‑speaking secondary school.

Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning across KS3, KS4 and KS5 (where applicable)
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils, including those with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation, classroom management and pupil assessments
- Work collaboratively with teachers, pupils and the wider school community
Qualifications
- Fluent in Welsh (spoken and written)
- Transferable skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) is preferred
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- Two recent professional references
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
