CFCD Delivery Hub supports a large directorate of over 10,000 colleagues. This team includes Communications and Complaints, Change & Continuous Improvement, Compliance, Briefings, Risk & Security (CBRS), Finance & Commercial, and Universal Credit Service Innovation Leads. The Hub delivers operational activities that assure legality and compliance with government standards. As a Senior Leader, you will lead one of the three focus areas: Communications, Senior Lead (CBRS), or Change & Continuous Improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of project specialists, ensuring effective prioritisation and delivery of commissioned projects.
- Plan and deliver communications products and events, both virtual and face-to-face, supporting internal engagement and understanding of organisational priorities.
- Ensure compliance with security, data and information requirements, and manage a robust briefing and briefings process for Freedom of Information requests.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across CFCD, collaborating with DWP Change and Transformation partners.
- Maintain and evolve directorate products, plans and registers, linking to organisational objectives.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to develop team skills, and influence high-level stakeholders across DWP.
- Travel nationally as required, including overnight stays.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership capability.
- Experience managing complex projects and delivering results within a large public sector organisation.
- In-depth knowledge of government compliance, security, data, and risk frameworks.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to influence and negotiate at senior level.
- Experience in change and continuous improvement methodologies is desirable.
