We are looking for a caring and firm supporter to provide part-time childcare for a young girl in the Pontypridd area. The role involves engaging activities and managing the child's daily routines in a supportive environment.
Job Details
- Rate of pay: £13.50 plus mileage
- Hours: 6 hours per day during school holidays only
- Start: Under an initial trial period
- Wages paid monthly, with holiday pay included
Responsibilities
- Take the child to the park and swimming sessions
- Organise and accompany day trips
- Assist with messy play and other activities
- Provide meals and help with food outings
- Ensure boundaries are set and maintained in a firm yet kind manner
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience working with children with learning difficulties is an advantage
- Ability to set clear boundaries while remaining patient and kind
- Driver’s licence and business-class insurance required
- Successful reference check and DBS disclosure (Police Check)
- Legally entitled to work in the UK and ability to provide a National Insurance number
All checks will be conducted and the cost of the DBS disclosure will be paid by the Local Authority. The position is subject to satisfactory references and a valid DBS check before commencement.
